Denny's Driveshafts stocks the Chevy 12 Bolt 30 spline rear end pinion yokes in a variety of u-joint series....1310, 1330 and 1350.
The Chevy 12 Bolt rear ends can be found in just about any Chevy and GM car or light truck. Chevrolet enthusiasts around the world have used the Chevy 12 Bolt rear end in countless street and race car applications.
Please note that the car and truck 12 bolt pinion yokes are the same. The gears and carriers are different but the pinion yokes are interchangeable.
The original equipment u-joint size was 1310, 1330 or GM 3R series.
The 1310 series pinion yoke has the locating tabs to center the u-joint and is commonly known as the "small Chevy" pinion yoke.
The 1330 series also has the location tabs.
Both 1310 and 1330 series pinion yokes can be found on the Chevy 12 Bolt rears.
There is also a third original equipment version, the General Motors 3R series, that could also be found on the 12 bolts. The 3R series is the inside "C" clip style also known as the inside lock style. There are NO locating tabs on the 3R series pinion yokes.
The original equipment hardware used to hold the u-joint into the pinion yoke was comprised of either two 5/16 inch u-bolts or 4 bolts and 2 metal straps. Both styles were used on original equipment applications.
We can supply both the 1310 series and 1330 series in the original equipment u-bolt style or strap and bolt style and we also have the 1350 series Chrome Moly pinion yoke in the u-bolt style, a much stronger way to go.
The ultimate in strength and reliability is the 1350 series. The Chevy 12 Bolt 30 spline pinion can now benefit from the simple installation of a 1350 series pinion yoke.
